THE ORGANIZATION

HomeStretch is a regional housing development organization that serves the counties of Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau.  The corporation is exempt under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

HomeStretch is governed by a board of directors comprised of representatives from business, government, nonprofit organizations, the five counties, and low-income families. Members of the board currently include:

STAFF

The staff of HomeStretch consists of two full time, two part-time and two contractual employees. They are:

• Melissa Begley, Financial Manager

• Maureen Merry, Asset Manager, Webmaster

• Kevin Cranson, Development Manager

OFFICE HOURS

The HomeStretch office is generally open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however these hours are  flexible as our staff is small and there may be times when everyone is out for various meetings, etc. Winter snowstorms or other weather with dangerous driving conditions are another time when we may elect to work from home. If schools in the area are closed due to road conditions, chances are we are too; so call ahead if you plan to drop in. We do have a locked “drop box” and can access telephone and e-mail messages remotely, so you can leave papers, leave phone messages or send e-mail.
